World premiere of the documentary film "Bigger than us
The film documentary Bigger than us, directed by Flore Vasseur and produced by Marion Cotillard and Denis Carot, makes its world premiere this week at the Cannes Film Festival 2021.

Synopsis : "For six years, Melati Wijsen, 18 years old, has been fighting the plastic pollution that ravages her country, Indonesia.
Like her, everywhere, a generation is rising up to repair the world. They are fighting for human rights, climate, freedom of expression, social justice, access to education or food. Dignity. Alone against all odds, sometimes risking their lives and safety, they protect, denounce and care for others. The Earth.
Melati goes to meet them across the globe. She who has been acting for 6 years wants to understand how to hold on. From the favelas of Rio to the remote villages of Malawi, from the makeshift boats off the island of Lesbos to the Amerindian ceremonies in the mountains of Colorado, her journey and her questions reveal a magnificent world, one of courage and joy, of commitment to something greater than oneself.
