On 23 October, ANVITA took part in the inauguration of the "Terrasses solidaires", a new 80-place reception centre located in a former sanatorium in Briançon.

On this day, ANVITA organised a meeting with local elected officials and actors from the Briançon area as well as elected officials from other regions in order to assess the current situation in Briançon.

Among the members of ANVITA, were present: Damien Carême (Europe), Antoine Pelcé and Mathieu Garabedian (Villeurbanne), Emmanuel Carroz (Grenoble), Myriam Laïdouni-Denis (AURA), Jérémie Teyssier and Géraldine Pyra (La Roche sur Foron).

The aim of this meeting was to call for the mobilisation of the network to create a chain of solidarity. The objective is for the member towns of ANVITA to be able to welcome exiles from Briançon when the emergency accommodation facilities in Briançon are saturated.

On 24 October, the board of directors of "Les Terrasses solidaires" met and decided to close the place. 150 to 200 people were present for a capacity of 80. The following night more than a hundred people slept in the Briançon train station. With the support of the bishop of Gap, these people were finally accommodated in a church. An appeal was made to the representatives of the State to question them about the situation. The next day, the State chartered 4 buses to redirect the people to Lyon and Grenoble. In Lyon, the prefecture took charge of the accommodation and antigenic tests were made available by the Médecins du Monde association.
