Images of Migration: Films and Researchers’ Festival

The Convergences Migrations Institute renews for a second edition its festival "Images of migrations: films and researchers".

"The images of people crammed into makeshift boats crossing the Mediterranean were followed by those of chaos at Kabul airport, where men, women and children converged in the hope of escaping the Taliban regime. [...] In the face of the emotion provoked by these unrestrained images, it is more important than ever to take the time to reflect and analyse".

 From 18 to 23 November 2021, the cities of Aubervilliers, Calais, Clermont-Ferrand, Marseille, Mitry-Mory, Paris, Romainville and Saint-Ouen will host some twenty films and short films (documentaries or fiction).

This year, three themes will be addressed:

• Childhood and youth in exile;

• Lost in transmission ; 

• Exile and environment.
