Description of the service:

In response to requests from local and regional authorities, ANVITA has developed a range of services to help them carry out local and regional assessments. The territorial diagnoses offered by ANVITA are personalised and adapted according to territorial needs and local specificities. The formats offered can be various.

The main types of diagnosis proposed by ANVITA:

  • Unconditional and general diagnoses (more info here)
  • Thematic diagnoses: education, training, etc. (more info here)
  • Diagnosis prior to setting up a territorial reception and integration contract - CTAI (more info here)

Cross-cutting goals:

  • Providing a better understanding of the territory and its population, as well as the public policies and measures of the local authority that can be mobilised to welcome and support exiles;
  • Highlighting the cross-cutting nature of the public policies that can be mobilised to address the issues of reception and integration.

*Depending on the type of diagnosis required and the aspirations of the local authority, other specific objectives may appear in addition to these.

Examples of factors that can be taken into account as part of the diagnoses proposed by ANVITA:

  • Target audience (exiled people in the unconditional meaning of the term, exiled people with legal status, targeted population focus: UAMs, international students, etc.)
  • Angle of analysis (population and/or territorial focus)
  • Analysis themes (accommodation, housing, training, language learning, social links, education, etc.)
  • Place given to field surveys (interviews, meetings, visits, etc.)
  • Operational dimension (without operational dimension, outside view of inspiring territorial practices, proposals for operational actions, etc.).
  • Type and format of deliverable required

ANVITA's experience concerning territorial diagnoses:

  • Territorial diagnoses about education and schooling of exiled children for the Cities of Clermont-Ferrand, Chambéry and Lomme;
  • Territorial diagnoses prior to the implementation of Territorial Reception and Integration Contracts (CTAI) for the City of Strasbourg and for four rural inter-municipalities in the Drôme (the Diois, Crestois and Pays de Saillans, Dieulefit-Bourdeaux and Val de Drôme en Biovallée);
  • Territorial diagnosis of the stakeholders and mechanisms for the integration of foreigners, contributing to the development of a new public policy for the Centre-Val de Loire Region entitled "A welcoming and supportive territory";
