The Club of committed local authorities: exchanges on the resorption of squats and slums
For several months now, ANVITA has been participating in the "Club des collectivités engagées", a network led by the CNDH Romeurope and composed of elected officials involved in the development and implementation of projects aimed at the reduction of squats and slums.
Two meetings have already taken place:
-
23 July 2021: Assessment and overview of actions and projects carried out by local authorities
- 22 October 2021: "Mobilising land to enable resorption: how to find a permanent solution to enable the integration of families". Speakers: Marc Ganilsy, Lawyer at the Paris Bar and Stéphane Martin, Director of the Brittany regional agency of the Fondation Abbé Pierre.
A practical sheet on this subject produced by the CNDH Romeurope in partnership with ANVITA on the mobilisation of vacant land can be found:here
All local elected officials and civil servants are now invited to a third session on 11 March 2022, dedicated to accessing sanitation services for the improvement of living conditions on slum sites.
This session will benefit from the intervention of Solidarité Internationale.
