#Agora2021: national meeting of actors for the reception and integration of refugees

On 30 November, ANVITA had the pleasure of participating in the fourth edition of the "Agora: annual national meeting of actors for the reception and integration of refugees".

The event, organised by the Interministerial Delegation for the Reception and Integration of Refugees (DiAir), brings together a wide range of actors for workshops, discussions and debates. This year, "hospitality" is the theme that has been put in the spotlight.

After an introduction by the Minister Delegate in charge of Citizenship, Ms Marlène Schiappa, the different actors present met around three workshops. ANVITA participated in the workshop on the participation of refugees, led by the laureates of the Academy for the participation of refugees  and by Sophie Bilong, researcher at IFRI.

This workshop was an opportunity for ANVITA to review the conclusions of Working Group #1 on participation, conducted in 2021. Find the summary guide of this WG#1  here.

After a conference-debate dedicated to the "keys to positive communication [on migration] with the media", ANVITA was able to attend the preview of the short film "Chez soi" by Lycia Walter and Mathilde Faisant. The day ended with plenary discussions on the issue of "Hospitality: a daily value" and with a closing speech by Mr. Alain Régnier, Interministerial Delegate for the reception and integration of refugees.
